Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well and that you had an amazing Thankgiving. If this is your first visiting my little neck of the woods, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. So, have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a pretty card? I decided to take a break from Christmas cards this week and create a birthday card using the Modern Garden stamp and that beautiful coordinating Garden Walk DSP. I know I’ve showcased it before, but I just had to play with it again!
I just love this sheet of DSP! I followed the measurements from the sketch for everything but the flagged label. Mine is a little shorter since I used a die. I started with a Thick Basic White card base and added my DSP with Stampin’ Seal adhesive. I pulled out the new Three Color Glimmer Paper that is now available in the Online Exclusive section of our products and went with the Pretty Peacock sheet. I die cut it with one of the Nested Essentials Dies and then added it to the card base with more Seal. I punched out a scrap of Basic White with the 1 3/4″ circle punch and stamped my sentiment in Pretty Peacock. I added Seal to the back of the circle and attached a piece of the silver ribbon from the Gold & Silver Trim, also a part of the Online Exclusives. I then added dimensionals and attached it to the card. And of course, don’t forget the bling! I sprinkled on some rhinestones all over.
For the inside I added a 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ strip of the DSP and stamped my sentiment.
And it’s not your imagination – the strip is crooked! Oops! I didn’t notice it until I entered this into my blog post. I’ve been dealing with sciatica issues since last week and just couldn’t reshoot the picture. But it is straight now! 😉 I had one piece of the DSP left from the 6″ x6″ piece, so I used it on the envelope.
Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up. It’s all up to you to put your spin on the card. That’s the fun part of casing – you create it your way!
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a fantastic week!
