Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time visiting my little world, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you had a chance to visit the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a cute card? It’s a slimline card and as you can see, I changed mine to a regular A2 size card.
Here are the measurements for my card:
- Cardbase in Blueberry Bushel cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Winter Meadow DSP cut at 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Pecan Pie cardstock cut at 1 3/4″ x 4 1/2″
- Pool Party cardstock cut at 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
- Basic White cardstock cut at 1 1/4″ x 3 3/4″
This card was the best use of scraps! I attached my DSP to the card with Stampin’ Seal and trimmed my scraps. I stamped my sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink towards the right and then attached it to the Pool Party with Seal, then both to the Pecan Pie with Seal and then to the card front with dimensionals. I die cut three of the branches in Garden Green cardstock, attached them together with some Liquid Glue and then to the label with more Liquid Glue. I had a bow in the silver Simply Elegant Trim and attached it to the branches with a Mini Glue Dot. To bring in more silver, I sprinkled on some of the Festive Pearls.
For the inside, I had a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White in my stash, so I stamped the sentiment from the Modern Garden stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink. I also added 1/2″ x 5″ piece of the DSP with Stampin’ Seal.
At this point I had just enough DSP to decorate my envelope flap.
Doesn’t that tie the entire project together? I just love that paper!! I guess that’s because blue is my favorite color. So now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create your card just like the sample or change it up as much as you want. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to create it your way.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great rest of your week and at some point, you take some time for you! Happy Tuesday!
