Happy Tuesday everyone and welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday project. I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time stopping by my little neck of the world, welcome and be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. So, have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a pretty card? I love that suite, but decided to create a birthday card.
This is the first time I’ve played with the paper and the stamp set. I love that it’s not just holiday paper. I chose my paper from the 6″ x 6″ pack and trimmed it to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and attached it to a Thick Basic White card base. I trimmed a scrap of Calypso Coral to the measurements and flagged the ends with the Pick a Banner punch and attached it to a scrap of Lost Lagoon cardstock that was trimmed to the measurements. I then added it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal. Next I stamped the two small flower petals in Petal Pink and Calpso Coral inks and the sentiment in Lost Lagoon and punched it out with the new Modern Oval punch that goes with the suite. I added some Seal to the back of the label and added a small piece of the Lost Lagoon ribbon and then attached it to the card front with dimensionals. And of course I had to add some of the gorgeous Blooming Pearls for bling!
For the inside, I added a 1/2″ strip of the DSP and stamped the sentiment in Lost Lagoon ink.
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I added the last piece of the DSP to the flap. I was able to use the entire sheet of 6″ x 6″ piece of DSP and not wast a bit!
So what do you think? I love, love, love this pack of paper!! Now it’s your turn to create your take on this week’s sample. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to make it your way! Then, once you’ve created your take, share it with us over at the CT Facebook Group. We would love to see your creations!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you. If there was anything I used that you would like to add to your stash, please feel free to shop at my online store. Have a great Tuesday!
