Happy Tuesday everyone and welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday project! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time here, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that a cute card? For those that are new, this Facebook Group is for anyone to join and play along as we case cards out of the current Stampin’ Up! catalogs. We have a group of bloggers that choose cards to be cased with the launch of each catalog, and this is the one I chose. And let me tell you, as I was trying to case this one, I was wondering just what the heck I was thinking of when I chose it! lol But! As you can see, I perservered and this is what I came up with using the A Walk in the Forest DSP and the Brightest Glow stamp set.

When I chose this, I really liked how the designer created the layers on the square card base. I started with a Pretty Peacock card base and the first layer that I embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. I knew I wanted to incorporate this sheet of DSP, but had trouble with the 2nd layer, so I went with vellum cardstock. Looking back I think I should have reversed those two layers, but it’s all good! lol All 3 layers are attached with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I then took a scrap of Very Vanilla and stamped my sentiment and punched it out with the new Modern Oval Punch. I didn’t want to any more of the DSP than I had too, and thought this was the perfect compromise. I added the label with dimensionals and sprinkled on some of the new Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins. I absolutely LOVE these sequins!!

For the inside, I trimmed another scrap of Very Vanilla to 3 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ and stamped the sentiment, also in Pretty Peacock ink. And since the sequins are flat, you can use them on the inside as well!

And of course I had to add some more of that gorgeous DSP to the envelope!

This DSP is so pretty! And not only does Stampin’ Up! donate $3.00 from every pack of paper purchased to support organizations dedicated to helping others, but it also coordinates with the Beary Cute Punch and the Merriest Trees Dies! So this pack of paper is a must have for your next order!

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up. It’s all up to you and your creativity! That’s the fun part of casing – there are no rules!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you. If there are any projects I’ve used today that you would like to add to your stash, I would love to help you out! Just reach out and we’ll make it happen! Have a great rest of your day!
