Happy Tuesday everyone! It sure is good to be home! I was gone last week for our Leadership Conference in Las Vegas and even had a chance to visit with some very good friends who had just moved there. I hope your week is going well so far and if this is your first time visiting my neck of the woods, welcome! Be sure to join my email list while you’re here so you can keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch for this week:
Isn’t that a cute card? This week I thought I would stay close to the sketch today since I was such a rebel last week. 😉 I decided to use the Sending Smiles stamp set this week.
Since I had the open pack of Inked Botanicals sitting on my desk, I decided to use that and build my card around it. I am a huge fan of all of our DSP’s and love to use them as much as I can as I think it makes our creativity so much easier. I chose my two pieces of DSP and then a left over card base in Calypso Coral. I trimmed my DSP to fit my card front and attached it with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I trimmed my second scrap of DSP to the measurements and attached it to the card. Next I trimmed a scrap of Very Vanilla to the measurements and stamped my flower using Calypso Coral, Early Espresso and Old Olive inks. I added it over the DSP with more Seal Next I trimmed scraps of Very Vanilla and Calypso Coral to the measurements. I stamped my flower in Calypso Coral and Early Espresso again, this time stamping off to tone it down. I then stamped my sentiment in Old Olive. I attached the two layers with Seal and then added more to the back so I could add a piece of the White Glittered ribbon to the back. I added that to the card front with dimensionals and sprinkled on some of the Iridescent Pearls.
For the inside, I had another scrap of Very Vanilla that measures 3 3/4″ x 5″ that I added a 3/4″ x 5″ strip of DSP to and stamped my sentiment, again in Old Olive ink.
For my envelope, I stamped more sentiments in Old Olive ink. Remember – no naked envelopes!!
Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample or sketch and share it with us over at the CT Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up. The fun part of casing is there aren’t really any rules! You get to create it the way you like!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you to get inky today. If there are any items I used today that you would like to add to your collection, I would love to help you with that! Just head over to my online store and shop. It’s as easy as that! Thank you again for visiting my little world and I hope you have a great week!
