Happy Tuesday and welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday project! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time visiting my little neck of the woods, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here! So have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that sample card adorable? I changed my take just a little using the Wave of Inspiration stamp set and the Sailboat Builder Punch.
My overall design is similar, just my circle and sentiment layers are different sizes. And the very best part about my card? It’s made with all scraps!!! I love it when I can do that! I started by creating my sailboat first with the punch. The base of the boat is in Blueberry Bushel and the sails are in Daffodil Delight and assembled with Mini Glue Dots. The 2″ circle was too small, so I die cut a 2 1/2″ circle with the Stylish Shapes dies. I mounted the boat with dimensionals and then stamped my seagulls in Basic Gray ink. I set it aside to work on the rest of the card. I chose a Blueberry Bushel card base and a scrap of DSP from the Let’s Go Fishing DSP pack. I trimmed my scrap of DSP to the measurements and added it to a Boho Blue scrap that I trimmed to the 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ measurements. I then attached it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive and added the sailboat circle with dimensionals. I stamped my sentiment on a scrap of Daffodil Delight that measured the 2 1/2″ x 7/8″, but it just looked off, so I trimmed it to 1/2″ x 2 1/2″. I trimmed a scrap of Blueberry Bushel to the same measurements, attached the Daffodil Delight layer with Seal and then added both to the card with dimensionals. I added just a couple of rhinestones for my bling.
For the inside I had a 5″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Basic White that I stamped pelican image and seagulls in Basic Gray and the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel inks. I am so happy that Blueberry Bushel came back! It really is my favorite blue!
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I added a piece of that beautiful DSP to the flap.
Isn’t that a fun card? Now it’s your turn! Create your take and share it with us over at the CT FB Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up. You can even change it up a lot – it’s all up to you! That’s the fun part of casing; you get to make it with your style!
