Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope you week is going well. If this is your first time stopping by my little blog, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group to see what we are casing (copy and share everything) this week? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a cute card? As you can see, I changed mine up a little.
I decided to dust off my Apple Harvest stamp set and for the most part, followed the measurements for my card. I started with trimming my scrap of Basic White to the measurements and stamping the image in Memento ink. I then colored it with the Sweet Sorbet, Lemon Lime Twist, Pecan Pie and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends, our version of alcohol ink markers. I love that almost all of our inks have coordinating markers and that they only come in light and dark of each color. It makes coloring so much easier. Next, I started to create a banner like the sample, but I just didn’t think it fit correctly, so I eliminated it and just stamped my sentiment on the layer. I used Pecan pie ink for my sentiment. I then went through my box of leftover embellishments and found a bow in the Sweet Sorbet/White and added it to the branch with a Mini Glue Dot. For my bling, I added some of the Festive Pearls in the light green as I thought it really picked up the Pool Party outline of the image. I stamped the little cross stitch image in Sweet Sorbet ink on the base of the card front and added my layer with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive.
For the inside, I had a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White and stamped the cross stitch image again in Sweet Sorbet ink and the sentiment in Pecan Pie. I love this new brown color! It is such a rich brown!!
Then for my envelope, I stamped the little apple blossom in Memento ink on the flap and added some Pool Party and Sweet Sorbet Blends for a pop of color. I know it’s hard to see the Pool Party, but it really is there! lol
Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to make it your way!!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you. And if you get a chance to get inky this week, please be sure to come on over and play along! Have a great rest of your week!!
