Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! If this is your first time here, welcome and be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the fun things happening in my little world. So, are you ready for another CASE-ing Tuesday project? Let’s take a look at this week’s sample and sketch. I love that the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group shares a sketch too. It really helps with quick creating!
Isn’t that a cute card? I am so glad that the Pansy Patch Bundle carried into the new catalog, but I chose to use the new Beautiful Balloons Bundle.
When I created my card our blogging group didn’t have the sketch to follow for measurements yet, so I pretty much winged it. 🙂 Here are the measurements I used:
- Card base in Lemon Lolly cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Bright & Beautiful DSP cut at 2 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ and 1/2″ x 5″ for the inside
- Basic White cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ for the inside
I have to say that I absolutely love the new Lemon Lolly color!! And then to pair it with Azure Afternoon? LOVE!!!! So I started by trimming a piece of the DSP and attaching it to the card base with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. Next I die cut two balloons, one in Azure Afternoon and one in Bubble Bath cardstocks. I added Mini Glue Dots to the base on the back side and attached some of the 2022/2024 In Color twine. I then attached the balloons to the card with dimensionals, pulled the twine tought and secured it to the card with more Mini Glue Dots. I tied a bow in the twine and added with another glue dot over the others to cover them. To give the balloons some shimmer, I added a lot of Wink of Stella. It made it look as though they were die cut from shimmer paper. Next I die cut the label, stamped the sentiment in Azure Afternoon ink and attached it to the card with, you guessed it, more dimensionals. I added another bow in the twine and sprinkled on some rhinestones for extra bling.
For the inside, I added the strip of DSP to the bottom of my layer, stamped the sentiment in Azure Afternoon and then attached the layer to the inside of the card. I then decided to stamp some of the confetti in Bubble Bath ink.
Then to tie it all together, I added some more of that gorgeous DSP to the envelope flap. And did I happen to mention that this pack of DSP is part of the DSP Sale? Yep! Now through June 30th you can get that paper for only $10.62 a pack!! Now is the time to stock up on it since we all have birthday cards to create!!!
Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample, or change it up. That’s the fun part of casing – it’s all up to you!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you! If you would like to add any of the product I used to your collection, please head over to my online store here to shop. Have a great week and be sure to take some time for you! Take care!!
