Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope you had a great 3-day weekend! I know that today is going to feel more like a Monday, but hopefully playing along with CASE-ing Tuesday will help. Have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a fun card? When I created my take, I followed the sketch for all of my measurements using the Brewed for You stamp set.
When I was planning out my card, I knew I wanted to use the new Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. There is a local restaurant here in Redding that serves a lot of micro brews and I instantly thought of it. So, I pulled out some Copper Clay cardstock for my card base and trimmed a piece to emboss. Once I embossed it, I ran my white Craft Stampin’ Ink pad over it to give it a more rustic look. I added it to my card base with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. Next I stamped the glass in Gray Granite ink and the liquid image in Wild Wheat ink – perfect for a good ale! I die cut it with the coordinating die and added it to the white layer with dimensionals. I took the Light Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends to color around the glass bottom to give it a shadow effect. I stamped the sentiment in Copper Clay ink and added the layer to the card front. I thought it needed to sit at a jaunty angle though. lol For my bling, I added some of the 2023/2025 In Color Dots in Copper Clay and Wild Wheat.
For the inside, I had a leftover 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White cardstock that was perfect. I added a 3/4″ x 5″ strip of Copper Clay that I embossed and destressed like the card front and stamped the sentiment just above the strip.
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I embossed the envelope for the perfect tie-in to the card!
Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up a little or a lot. The best part of casing is you get to put your spin on your creation.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a great week and take time to get inky – it’s the perfect way to relax!
