Happy CASE-ing Tuesday! It’s the first casing for the month of May and the first from the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog that went live today!!! Woo hoo!!! I absolutely LOVE the new catalog!!! If you don’t have one yet, please reach out and we will get you taken care of! If this is your first time stopping by my site, welcome! And please be sure to join my email list here. Have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a cute card? That is the Irresistible Blooms Bundle that was one of the first Online Exclusive products. I am using a brand new bundle from the new Catalog, the Crafting with You Bundle. I have to say, it is stinking adorable!!!
I am also using one of the returning colors, Misty Moonlight for my card base and the new Countryside Inn DSP. For those that know me, you know I’m a blue girl!! And Misty Moonlight was one of my favorite colors when it was an In Color. So back to my card. When I created my card earlier, I didn’t have the sketch for dimensions, so I pretty much guessed at them. My sentiment layer measures 3/4″ and my DSP layer measures 2 1/2″ wide. I started with my card base and decided to die cut a scrap of Misty Moonlight with the die from the Irresistible Blooms die set like the sample card. I thought it went with the pattern in my DSP . I attached it to the card base using the Multipurpose Glue. I glued it at an angle and then trimmed the edges flush with the card base with my Paper Snips. Next I trimmed my layer of DSP and attached it an angle with Stampin’ Seal and trimmed the edges. I then trimmed a 3/4″ strip of Basic White from a scrap, stamped my sentiment in Misty Moonlight and attached it with Seal and trimmed it. Next I stamped the Cut & Emboss Machine image in Smoky Slate ink and die cut it. It is added to the card front with dimensionals and then I added some rhinestones for my bling.
For the inside, I die cut the trimmer from a scrap of Smoky Slate cardstock and attached it the inside Basic White layer that measures 3 3/4″ x 5″ with a little bit of Stampin’ Seal. The fun part about this die cut piece is it has slits that you can slip in a piece of DSP to look like it’s cutting the layer! I just cut off a 1 1/2″ x 2″ piece from the the layer I trimmed off the front and used Mini Glue Dots to attach it. I glued it with the reverse side up. I then stamped my sentiment next to the trimmer.
And of course the set has the perfect sentiment for the envelope!
Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up. That’s the fun part of casing, you get to make it your way!
Thank you so much for stopping by. If you would like to add any of the items I used today to your stash, just head over to my online store to shop. The Host Code for May is CA4K3EYE and if your order totals $45.00 or more before tax and shipping, I’ll send you a free brand new embellishment from the catalog – but you must use the Host Code.
