Welcome to another CASE-in Tuesday project! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time visiting, please be sure to join my email list here to keep up on all the inky fun around in my world. Have you had a chance to visit the CASE-in Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything) this week? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a pretty card? That is one bundle that I didn’t get, and since my favorite, Hues of Happiness DSP is about to retire, I just had to use it!
The sample card shows that it is a note card size, but I turned mine into a full size card created from all scraps! Don’t you love it when you can use up those scraps? Here are my measurements:
- Card base in Night of Navy cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Parakeet Party cardstock 2 cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ and 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
- Hues of Happiness DSP cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ and 2 5/8″ x 3 7/8″ trimmed and 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ for the inside
- Balmy Blue cardstock cut at 1/2″ x 5″
- Basic White cardstock cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
I started by choosing my favorite piece from the pack and was very excited to see that I had enough to create my card. I added my larger piece of DSP to the Parakeet Party layer with Stampin’ Seal and then trimmed my small piece and adding it to those layers. I trimmed the two strips to the measurements and stamped my sentiment from the Happiness Abounds stamp set in Night of Navy ink. I attached the two strips with Stampin’ Seal. I had a piece of the White Glittered Ribbon on my desk (so so happy that is not retiring, but moving to the Online Exclusives line of product) and added it to the layers. I attached it all to the card front and then tied a bow with the ribbon from another piece I had in my stash. Next I added some rhinestones for my bling.
For the inside, I stamped my sentiment, added it to my Parakeet Party layer and attached it to the inside. Then I added the strip of DSP.
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! Best. Way. Ever.
Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up. That’s the fun part of casing – you create it your way! Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great week and get to take some time just for you.
