Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time here, welcome and please be sure to join my email list here to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

As bloggers for our Facebook Group, we each get to choose a sample out of the new catalogs when they are released and this is the one I chose for the new Jan-April Mini. I just love this card! But, since today is my husband’s birthday and he is a drummer in a band (yes, I am a groupie! lol), I thought it was only appropriate to use the Enjoy the Rhythm stamp set.

I followed the sketch to a point, but had to change the size of the circle and the sentiment label. The circle measures 3″, the sentiment label measures 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ and since this label was larger, I eliminated the third strip. I used a Night of Navy card base and added a piece of the Regency Park DSP. I stamped the music bars in Balmy Blue ink on my Balmy Blue cardstock and then added it to the card base with Stampin’ Seal. I stamped the drum set in Memento ink on a scrap of Sahara Sand and colored it with my Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Brush. I used Pacific Point on the drums (one of my husband’s sets was this color), Crushed Curry for the cymbals, Basic Gray and Basic Black for the stands, and white for the drum skins. I die cut it with the largest stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes dies and added it to the card front with Black Dimensionals. I stamped my sentiment in Night of Navy ink and then attached it to the strip of DSP with Seal and then added it to the card front with more Black Dimensionals. The bow was leftover from another project, so I added it with a Mini Glue Dot. For my bling, I added some of the Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment, again in Night of Navy on a scrap of Basic White cardstock that measures 3 3/4″ x 5″ and then added a 1/2″ strip of the DSP at the bottom.

And then I stamped the drums on the back side of the envelope along with another sentiment.

Isn’t that a fun set? I know, I’m kind of partial to it. 😉 Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up. It’s all up to you! We would love it if you shared your creation with us!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a great rest of your week!
