Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your Christmas or Hanukkah week is going well – I know it’s a very busy one! Have you had a chance to visit the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything) this week? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that a pretty card? It’s been really cold here today, so I wanted to create something warm and beachy and the Sunkissed Stamp Set was the perfect choice!

I followed all of the measurements from the sketch, which really helps when it’s time to create – no need to recreate the wheel! I started with a Pool Party card base and added a piece of the Celebrate Everything DSP. I decided not to trim it into the strips, like on the sample. And, I love how that piece looks like waves! Then I trimmed a piece of the Very Vanilla Glimmer paper and used one of my Blending Brushes to color it with some Bermuda Bay ink; I thought using Pool Party ink wouldn’t give it the depth in color that I wanted. I added that to the card base with Stampin’ Seal adhesive. Next I trimmed a scrap of Basic White cardstock to the measurements in the sketch and stamped the sentiment on it in Soft Suede ink. I also added the pelican, also in Soft Suede ink, stamping off first. I added more adhesive to the back and wrapped a piece of the Silver Threaded Twine and added it to the adhesive. To give that layer enough height for the thick twine, I used two dimensionals stacked on each side of the layer and added it to the Glimmer Paper. It didn’t adhere very well, so I added Mini Glue Dots to the dimensionals and it worked perfectly! And then I added some rhinestones for more bling.

For the inside, I trimmed a scrap of Basic White to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and blended on some more Bermuda Bay ink. Then I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede as well as the image, but stamped the image off first.

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I blended on some more ink and stamped the sentiment and image both in Soft Suede ink.

Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up a little or a lot – it’s all up to you! That’s the fun part of casing – you get to put your style into your creation!

Thank you so much for taking some time out of your busy week to stop by. I hope whatever holiday you may be celebrating is a happy one! Have a great rest of your week!
