Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend and that your week is going well. If this is your first time here, welcome! Have you had a chance to visit the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a pretty card? I love the touch of glimmer paper on the card! I followed the sketch somewhat, which is what I love about casing!
My take on my card was inspired by a swap card I received from one of my team members, Shelia. I absolutely loved it and knew this was the perfect time to give the colors a try! I started with a Thick Basic White card base, and trimmed my piece of DSP from the Celebrate Everything pack to the measurements in the sketch. I thought there was too much white so I layered that piece to a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Basic Black. Next I embossed a scrap of Basic Black with the Whimsical Woodland 3D embossing folder and cut two strips to 1″ x 4″ and added them to the Red Glimmer layers with Mini Glue Dots. I added them to the card with Stampin’ Seal. Next I cut out my circle in Red Glimmer using two Layering Circle Dies and added it to the card front with Mini Dimensionals. I cut out the tree in the white glimmer paper and added it with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment on 1/2″ scrap of Basic White in Real Red ink and then trimmed it to fit the sentiment. This stamp set didn’t have the sentiments to created the multiple sentiment strips, so I just used the one. I added some Red Rhinestones for that finishing touch.
For the inside, I had a scrap of Basic Black that I trimmed to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and added a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White. I stamped the sentiments in Real Red ink as well. I attached the layers to the inside of the card, but thought it needed something. I had an extra piece of the red glimmer paper so I added it to the inside of the card with a 1″ x 4″ piece of the DSP.
And don’t forget the envelope! I used another piece of the DSP to decorate the flap.
Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. You can create exactly like the sample or change it up; it’s all up to you! That’s the fun part of casing – you get to create it your way!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you and that you get a chance to get inky with us this week! Enjoy your week and be sure to take some time for you!
