Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I know it’s a short week for those of us in the U.S. so I hope yours is going well. If this is your first time here in my neck of the world, welcome! So, have you had a chance to visit the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a cute card? I just love those Scotties!! But since it is Thanksgiving this week, I decided to create my final fall card. I thought it was time to dust off that adorable Nuts About Squirrels stamp set and pair it with the Celebrate Everything DSP.
I just love his little face!! And, my card is made with all scraps!! I started with my Early Espresso card base and trimmed a scrap of the DSP to the measurements. I decided to add a piece of the Faux Suede Ribbon that is in Early Espresso to the layer before adhering it down with some Stampin’ Seal adhesive. Next I trimmed a scrap of Basic White to the measurements and stamped the squirrel in Sahara Sand for the outline, Gray Granite for the fill in, stamped off Soft Suede for the top of the acorn and stamped off Crumb Cake for the base of the acorn. The leave is in Crushed Curry, which needed reinking so it turned out perfectly. The lines in the leaf and the sentiment are in Early Espresso. I then took a Sponge Dauber and shaded the edges in Crushed Curry and then added it to the card front with dimensionals. I used some Red Rhinestones for my bling.
For the inside, I added a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White and repeated the leaf in Crushed Curry and Early Espresso for the stem and sentiment. The sentiment fit perfectly next to the leaf.
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I repeated the the leaves on the envelope flap.
Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Case-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up – it’s all up to you. That’s the fun part of casing, you get to create it your way!
Thank you so much taking the time to stop by today. I hope I was able to inspire you. Have a great Thanksgiving and I will catch you next week!
