Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope you all had a great holiday weekend and now it seems like a Monday, which is the perfect reason to get inky! If this is your first time visiting my neck of the woods, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here! Have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a cute card? The stamp set used in the sample is one of the Host Items in the July-Dec Mini Catalog. I decided to go a different direction – a get well card. We all need those on hand!
I followed all of the measurements for my card, except the sentiment label. Mine measures 3/4″ x 2″ so that my sentiment from the stamp set fits. And again, my card is created with all scraps – the best kind of card. I started with a Night of Navy card base and added a Blushing Bride layer. The horizontal strips are from the Hues of Happiness DSP pack. My sentiment label is in So Saffron cardstock and stamped with Night of Navy ink. The cup is inked with my Stampin’ Write Markers. Since they are water based markers, you can stamp with them, which is the perfect way to color multiple images in different colors. Always start with the lightest colors first . I used Daffodil Delight for the flowers, Blushing Bride for the heart, Granny Apple Green for the leaves, Night of Navy for the cup and Soft Suede for the tea. Once you’ve got all the colors on the stamp, you huff on it to reactivate the ink and then stamp your image. After I stamped it, I fussy cut it with my Snips and added it to the card front with dimensionals. The sentiment label is also added with dimensionals, and all other layers were attached with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. The bling is some of the 2021/2023 In Color Opal Rounds. I absolutely LOVE those opals!! They go with everything!
For the inside, I stamped my sentiment, also in Night of Navy ink on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White. I added it to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Blushing Bride. To bring in the front of the card, I added a 1/2″ piece of DSP across the bottom.
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! The flowers are stamped in Blushing Bride ink.
Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up a little or a lot – it’s all up to you. That’s the fun part of casing; you get to put your spin on it.
I hope I was able to inspire you today. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!
