Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! And it’s the last one for August! Wow, this summer is just flying by! If this is your first time visiting my neck of the woods, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you stopped by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at this week’s sample and sketch:
I love that we have sketches! It really helps when make your creating easier. I followed the sketch for all of my measurements on my take of the sample.
Since it’s the last few days of Sale-a-bration, I just had to use the gorgeous DSP from the Wonderful World Bundle. And I was able to use all scraps for my card. I started with a Blushing Bride card base and added my squares of DSP with dimensionals. I used the new Metallic Edged Ribbon from the Annual Catalog and colored it with my Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends Marker to color. That was when I realized that particular set of Blends Markers were retired a couple of years ago. Oops! But what I really liked about coloring the ribbon, is it colored the silver metallic edge of the ribbon too! I stamped my Basic White label using Blushing Bride ink for the flower and Rich Razzleberry ink for the sentiment from the Amazing Phrases stamp set, which will also go away on the 31st. I attached the ribbon to the back of the label with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive and then added it to the card base with dimensionals. I colored some our Basic Rhinestone Jewels with the marker and sprinkled them on the card.
For the inside, I used my Stampin’ Write Markers in Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz to color the flower and stamp the inside layer. It measures 3 3/4″ x 5″ and is also left over from a previous class.
I used the same technique to stamp the image on the front of my envelope. Remember – no naked envelopes!
Isn’t paper pretty? I love how our products coordinate so well! Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to make the card the way you want to with your style. If either the Wonderful World Bundle or Amazing Phrases Stamp Set are on your wish list, you need to shop to get them by tomorrow. You can them both for FREE with a qualifying order. You head over to my online store here to shop. When you shop and use Host Code ESCZXJX9, I will send you a pack of handmade cards plus enter your name in a drawing to win a free embellishment. I am still working my way to earn the Norway Incentive trip and for every 2,000 points I earn, I am drawing a name from those that ordered. One lucky winner from every stepping stone will receive an embellishment as a thank you! Have a great Tuesday and be sure to take some time for you!
