Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time visiting my neck of the woods, welcome and be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here is a look at this week’s sample and sketch:

I love that we have sketches! It really makes casing even easier – no guessing at measurements! Isn’t this week’s sample cute? I really like this layout. Here’s a look at mine using the Artistically Inked stamp set and coordinating dies, Artistic Dies.

My take was inspired by my good friend Kimberly Wong Meyers. She had made a banner using this same embossing folder, the Painted Posies and the black die cut and I fell in love with it. Then when I saw our sample for the week, I knew it would work for this perfectly! And the best part? I was able to use all scraps!! I followed the measurements from the sketch and started with my Basic Black card base. Next I trimmed my scrap of Polished Pink cardstock to the measurements for my mat and my sentiment label. I found a piece of Basic White in my stash and trimmed it to the measurements and then embossed it. I attached it to the Polished Pink layer with Stampin’ Seal, and then both to the card base. Next I die cut a scrap of Basic Black with the die from the Artistic Die set and added it to the card front with some Multipurpose Glue. Next I stamped my sentiment from the Artistically Inked stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and added it to the card with Black Dimensionals. Then I sprinkled on some of the 2021/2023 In Color Opal Rounds for the perfect touch of bling. The close up really shows off that embossing folder!

For the inside I trimmed another scrap of Polished Pink cardstock to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and attached it to the inside with Stampin’ Seal. I stamped the image in Polished Pink ink, stamping off first and then the sentiment in Memento Ink on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White. I adhered it to the Polished Pink, which I thought really brings in the front of the card.

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I added the same technique on the envelope flap with another image and sentiment.

I don’t know about you, but I love pink and black together! Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part – it’s all up to you!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you and that when you have a chance to get inky, you’ll try creating a project and share it with us on the Facebook Group. Have a great rest of your week!
