Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well. Ours is pretty busy in the studio as we have our Creative Escape Weekend starting on Friday. So after today, I will be offline with my team putting together the last of all the fun stuff for our weekend. If this is your first time stopping by my neck of the woods, welcome and be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy things going on in the studio. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a pretty card? I just love that paper! I had some of the Butterfly Wishes DSP sitting on my desk, so I decided to use some of it.
I followed all of the measurements from the sketch for my card, but I think my sentiment label, from the Stylish Shapes Die set, is a little bit smaller. I chose a Starry Sky card base for my card and then trimmed a scrap of Parakeet Party cardstock to the measurements and added it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I trimmed a scrap of the DSP to the sketch measurements and added it to the card front. I die cut a scrap of vellum with the 3″ stitched circle from the same die set and attached it with a tiny bit of seal. I had a leftover scrap of Calypso Coral cardstock, so I die cut one of the butterflies from the Brilliant Butterfly dies. I added it over the adhesive under the vellum circle with a Mini Glue Dot. Next I die cut the small flagged label from the Stylish Shapes Die set (you really need to get this set!!) and stamped the sentiment from the Celebrating You stamp set in Starry Sky ink. Have I mentioned this is one of my favorite blues? To bring in the ribbon, I cut a small piece of the Parakeet Party Metallic Ribbon, frayed the edges and added it to the back of the label with some Stampin’ Seal, added two Mini Dimensionals and added it to the card. For my bling, I added some of the new Solid Faceted Gems in Starry Sky (another item you should have on your wish list!).
For the inside, I added a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White, but didn’t stamp any sentiment yet. To tie in the front of the card, I added a 1/2″ x 5″ piece of the DSP. This pack of paper is just so fun!
And don’t forget to decorate you envelope! I added another piece of the DSP to the flap with Stampin’ Seal. I love how all of the papers go so well together.
Isn’t that a fun card? I just love all of the colors!! Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us on the CT Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample, or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part of casing, you get to make it with your spin.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a great Tuesday and make some time to get inky; you’ll be happy you did!
