Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well! If this is your first time visiting my little neck of the woods, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you had a chance to stop over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that card adorable? That bundle is definitely on my Wish List! I chose to use the Happiness Abounds Bundle for my card this week. This suite of product is my absolute favorite out of the new catalog!
I loosely followed the sketch but added layers for my DSP and the best part is all of my pieces on the card are created from scraps! The Gorgeous Grape layer measures 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and the piece of Hues of Happiness DSP measure 4″ x 5 1/4″. I attached those layers to my Pool Party card base, that measures 4 1/4″ x 11″, with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. Next I trimmed a scrap of Pool Party to create the banner and trimmed the edge using one of the Basic Borders Dies and added it to the card front with more Stampin’ Seal. I then die cut the circle with the largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink and added it to the card base with dimensionals. The flowers and the leaves were left over die cuts from the DSP and added them with dimensionals. I added on the Glossy Dots that come in the suite of products. For that extra touch, I added a bow from the Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon.
For the inside, I added a piece of Basic White that measures 4″ x 5 1/4″ that I stamped the sentiment on in Gorgeous Grape ink. I also added another die cut that was left over. I attached it with some Multipurpose Glue.
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! The flowers are the perfect way to decorate them! I added another with more Multipurpose Glue.
Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and sketch. You can create it exactly as it was created or change it up. You can change it up a little or a lot, it’s all up to you! That’s the fun part of casing, you get to put your spin on it.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope I was able to inspire you to get inky this week. Have a great day!
