Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday project! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time here, I am so happy you stopped by and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Each new catalog period the CASE-ing Tuesday bloggers get together and pick out a card to case and this was my pick out of the new catalog. I really love the color blue and I liked all the layers in this card. You’d think since I chose this design it would have been easy peasy to create my case – not so much. lol Even though I wasn’t very happy with my creation, I decided to keep it as it definitely pushes me out of my comfort zone.

I followed the measurements for my layers, but my sentiment tag is a little bit smaller. I wanted to use one of the new In Colors and since I had the Tea Boutique DSP out, I went to it to pick a sheet of patterned paper. This one really caught my eye. I attached my piece of DSP to my Sweet Sorbet card base with some Stampin’ Seal adhesive. The main colors of the DSP in this sheet are Sweet Sorbet, Petal Pink, Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party. I thought that the Petal Pink would work as the top layer, but it just didn’t click for me. I decided to try a piece of the In Color Shimmer Paper in Sweet Sorbet. Great way to get some shimmer so I attached it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal. I stamped and die cut my tea cup in Petal Pink, the leaves in Parakeet Party and the flowers in Sweet Sorbet. I attached the leaves and to the back of the cup with some Multipurpose Glue. I then added the two full flowers with Mini Dimensionals and the petals with Mini Glue Dots that I rolled up to give some dimension. I then used one of the Stitched Whimsy Dies for my label. I stamped the sentiment from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set in Sweet Sorbet ink. I added the tea cup to the card front with dimensionals and then the label with dimensionals on one end and Stampin’ Seal on the corner that sits on the tea cup. I added a tiny bow of the Parakeet Party Baker’s Twine with a Mini Glue Dot and then sprinkled on a few of the In Color Matte Dots also in Parakeet Party.

For the inside, I added a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White cardstock that I stamped the sentiment from the Tea Boutique stamp set in Sweet Sorbet ink and the flower from the set in Petal Pink ink.

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I had a small strip left from the piece of DSP, so I added it to the envelope flap. I got this idea from one my team members. The best way to use up those scraps!

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up a little or a lot – it’s all up to you! That’s the fun part of casing; you create it your way!

Thank you so much for stopping by my little neck of the woods and I hope I was able to inspire you! Have a great Tuesday!
