Hello and welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time here, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

As you can see by the sample, it is a slimline card. There are several different measurements for creating a slimline, but I went with the simplest – 8 1/2″ x 7″, scored at 3 1/2″ for my card.

To keep with the floral look, I chose the Forever Fern stamp and coordinating die set. I am happy to say that this stamp and die set, which has been around for a couple of years now, will be carrying forward to the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalo! So, if you don’t have it in your collection, you can get it now or any time throughout the next year at least! For my card, I started my design process by choosing the DSP. I went with the Artfully Composed DSP from the Jan-Jun Mini Catalog. I cut my layer to the 8 1/2″ x 2 3/8″ size in the sketch, but added it to a 8 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ layer of Calypso Coral cardstock. I then added both to a card base in Bermuda Bay cardstock. I love how it all coordinates so well. Next I die cut my layers. I started with a scrap of Pool Party from the large leaf branch die from the Forever Flourishing die set and then a scrap of Calypso Coral for 2 of the little bud layers. I stamped one of the leaf bunches with Evening Evergreen, stamping off first, and then and another in Pear Pizzazz, stamping off, and die cutting both. If I was a florist, I might know all of the correct terms for the layers! lol I set all of the die cut layers aside and then stamped my 5 1/2″ x 2 3/4″ layer of Basic White. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink and then added some of the splatter dots in stamped off Pear Pizzazz ink randomly around the layer. I glued the Basic White layer to the DSP and added the Pool Party leaves with a little bit of Multipurpose Liquid Glue and added the other layers with Mini Dimensionals. To finish off the leaves and such, I added a Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon bow with a Mini Glue Dot and a few of the Waves Basic Jewels for more bling.

For the inside, I added a piece of Basic White that measures 3 1/4″ x 8 1/4″. I stamped the various leaves around each side in Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz, Evening Evergreen and Calypso Coral inks, stamping off before each stamp. I then stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink.

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope. I used one of the new Slimline Envelopes in Smoky Slate ink and added a piece of the DSP to the flap. You can also find these envelopes in our Jan-Jun Mini Catalog. I love the shaped flap!

Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample, or change it up a little or a lot; it’s all up to you! That’s the fun part of casing – you make it your way!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you today. If there’s something that I used that you would like to add to your collection, I would love it if you shopped with me. Just head over to my online store here. When you place an order using Host Code ZBKETKYE, I will send you a pack of handmade cards. If your order is $45.00 or more, I will include a surprise package. That package could include a 6×6 pack of paper or spool of one of our beautiful ribbons or some kind of embellishment. But it will be something fun! I hope you have a great week!
