Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday!!! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time visiting my little spot on the globe, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here! And I would love it if you left a comment on today’s post, even if it’s just to say hi! Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that a cute card? As you can see, I changed mine up a little (you knew I would! lol) There is one correction to the sketch measurements though; the second layer should read 4″ x 3 3/4″.

I followed the measurements with the exception of my sentiment label, that measures 3/4″ x 2 1/2″. It just didn’t look right covering up that beautiful DSP! I chose a sheet of the New Horizons DSP and a Garden Green card base. I stamped the tree and extra grass in Garden Green ink and colored the tree with my Old Olive, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight and Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blends Markers. I then grabbed a scrap of Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake cardstocks and stamped the hedgehog in Soft Suede ink and punched them out with the Hedgehog Builder punch. Isn’t he adorable?!? I then added him with dimensionals and stamped the butterfly image in Memento ink. Since the background is printed on the DSP, I didn’t even have to color the butterfly, but you know I just had to add some Wink of Stella to it and then to the flower petals. I added the layer to the card base with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. For my sentiment layer, I had originally trimmed my scrap to the measurements in the sketch and stamped my sentiment, but it just didn’t look right, so I trimmed it down and attached to the card. For my bling, I added some of the 2021/2023 In Color Jewels.

For the inside, I had a scrap of Basic White that I trimmed down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and stamped the sentiment in Garden Green. I trimmed off a 3/4″ x 5″ strip of the the DSP from the excess off the DSP I used and added it to the layer, then both to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope – no naked envelopes!! I stamped the mushroom from the set in Memento ink and colored it with the Soft Suede, Old Olive and Real Red Stampin’ Blends. Tip: When coloring your envelope with alcohol markers, be sure to slip in a scrap of cardstock into the envelope to prevent the ink from bleeding through the envelope.

So what do you think? I love how it turned out! It’s funny, my hubby was in a band called T.C. and the Hedgehogs about 5 years ago and SU! didn’t have any hedgehog stamps. Now that the band is no longer, we get the hedgehogs! Go figure! lol

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part of casing; it’s all up to you!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great rest of your week!
