That’s a lot of two’s for a Tuesday, don’t you thinnk?!? lol If this is your first time in my little neck of the woods, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that a cute card? We actually used that bundle at our Stamp Club last week, along with the Calming Camellia stamp set, which I am using today. And since it’s the last week of Sale-a-bration, I just had to use it! You can get this stamp set for FREE! when you place a qualifying order or host a qualifying party by the end of February. Here’s a look at my card:

I actually created this Friday night while my club members were creating their projects. I followed all the measurements from the sketch for my card, although my sentiment tag is just a smidge wider. I started by trimming a scrap of Fresh Freesia to the measurements listed and stamped the large camellia image in Highland Heather ink on opposite corners. I wanted it to be a little darker then using the Fresh Freesia ink and Highland Heather was the perfect choice. Gorgeous Grape would have been too dark. I added that layer to a Balmy Blue card base that I had in my stash with Stampin’ Seal adhesive. Next I stamped the same image in Fresh Freesia ink on a scrap of Basic White. I colored the flower centers with the So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Markers, our version of alcohol markers. I brought out my Balmy Blue Blends and colored the petals with light marker. I thought I would add some of the dark Balmy Blue depth, but I didn’t really like it. So I pulled out my Color Lifter to light everything. Next I used the Light Just Jade Blends and again added some of the Color Lifter to lighten the leaves a little bit. Then I added Wink of Stella to give some shimmer. I cut the image out using one of the dies from the Hippo & Friends Die Set. I added that to the card front with dimensionals. For my sentiment, I created my flagged layer and stamped it in Balmy Blue ink and attached it to the card front with more Stampin’ Seal. I added a few rhinestones and a bow in the Fresh Freesia ribbon and called the front done.

For the inside, I found a scrap of Basic White to use. I stamped the same floral image in Fresh Freesia ink first on the corner of the envelope to decorate it, then directly to the inside layer. By stamping it this way, you get the second generation ink for your inside layer without wasting ink! 😉 I then added the sentiment, also in Balmy Blue ink and attached it to the inside of the card. I smudged it a little bit, but hey, it’s handmade, right? Gives it a personal touch! lol

Here’s a look at the envelope.

Isn’t that image gorgeous? Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the FB Group. You can create it exactly like the sample, or change it up a lot or a little; it’s all up to you!

I hope I was able to inspire you today. If there are any items you’d like to add to your stash, just head over to my online store here. Don’t forget, it’s the last week of Sale-a-bration and your chance to get all of those free goodies! Have a great Palindrome Week!!
