Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time in my neck of the woods, I am so glad you are here and please, be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

The sample uses the new In The Moment stamp set and I just had to give it a try. Here’s my take:

I followed all of the measurements from the sketch except for the sentiment label, which measures 1/2″ x 2 1/4″. I also changed up the orientation to a landscape card. I knew exactly who this card was for even before I started creating it! I started with a So Saffron card base from my stash that actually measures 4 1/4″ x 11″ and is scored at 5 1/2″. I chose my image from the stamp set and stamped it in Memento ink as I thought I would be using my Stampin’ Blends, our version of Alcohol Markers. I used my Watercolor Pencils instead and should have restamped it in StazOn ink. Why you ask? Well, StazOn ink works best when you watercolor as it is a solvent ink. The Memento is a water-based ink and if you watercolor with it…well…it will smear. So I was very careful when coloring. After coloring the image, I did some blending with one of our Blender Brushes. Very therapeutic for a Monday, which was when I actually created it! Once I was done coloring, I cut it out to imitate the sample and set it aside. Next I took a sheet from the New Horizons DSP pack and trimmed the layers to the measurements in the sketch. I then attached them all with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive and attached my image with dimensionals. Next I found my scrap of Basic White for my sentiment and stamped it in Evening Evergreen ink and added it with dimensionals. For my bling, I pulled out some of the 2021/2023 In Color Jewels, which coordinate perfectly!

For the inside I found a scrap of Basic White that I trimmed to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and stamped another image from the stamp set in Smoky Slate, stamping off first. I then stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen and attached it to the inside. I think I should have stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen and stamp off 2 or 3 times. I am not happy with the Smoky Slate….tell me what you think.  🙂

And for the envelope I used what was left of the piece of DSP that I trimmed. Never mail a naked envelope!! lol

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the FB Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up a little or a lot. It’s all up to you! That’s what is so fun about casing, you get to create it your way!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. If I have inspired you today and would like to add any of today’s products to your collection, please head over to my online store here to shop. Have a great rest of your Tuesday!
