Happy Tuesday everyone! Are you ready for another CASE-ing Tuesday project from me?? Lol I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time visiting my neck of the woods, welcome and be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Now, if you haven’t been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group, here’s a look at this week’s sample and sketch:
Isn’t that a cute card? That is one bundle that I haven’t purchased…yet! I have to pace myself! lol So I went with some Sale-a-bration DSP and the Flowering Rainboots Bundle.
The Sunshine & Rainbow DSP (that you can get for FREE!) coordinates so well with this bundle!!! I’m sure that was the Stampin’ Up!’s plan, but it really does. And if you have any of the supplies left from the March 2020 Kit, No Matter the Weather, you’ve got even more possibilities for more coordination!
When I created my card, I followed all of the measurements from the sketch, which makes things super easy when creating. I first chose the piece of DSP I wanted to use and then went in hunt of a coordinating card base in my stash. I found this Coastal Cabana on and added my DSP. I die cut my 3″ circle with the Layering Circle Dies and added it to the card base with dimensionals. Next, I stamped the rainboots in Magenta Madness, the flower stems in Just Jade and the daisies in Bumble Bee inks on a scrap of Basic White and then die cut them with the coordinating dies. I then added them with more dimensionals to the card front. I did, however, notice as I was taking this picture that I needed to add the flower stemsĀ behind the boot tops. Oops!! Learning curve! š Next I trimmed a scrap of Bermuda Bay to the label measurements and stamped the sentiment in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed some white embossing powder on it. I added it with dimensionals. Note: because the boots and circle both have dimensionals, the right side of the label needs to have two layers of dimensionals to make sure it has even height across the label. I added a white Baker’s Twine bow with a Mini Glue Dot and sprinkled on some of the 2021/2023 In Color Jewels for my bling.
For the inside layer, I added a scrap of Basic White cardstock that measures 3 3/4″ x 5″ that I stamped the sentiment in Magenta Madness and the flowers in Bumble Bee inks. I did stamp off the Bumble Bee ink so that it was more muted.
And of course I had to add some more of that beautiful paper to my envelope!
Doesn’t it all coordinate nicely? Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the CT FB Group. You can create it exactly as the sample or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to create it the way YOU want to!
Thank you so much for stopping by. If you would like to add any of today’s products to your collection, I would be honored if you shopped with me. Just head over here to my online store. We are in the final month of Sale-a-bration, so add all of those freebies while you can! Have a great day!!
