Hey everyone! Welcome to the first CASE-ing Tuesday of 2022! I hope you had a wonderful New Year’s over the weekend. Not only is the first CT of the year, but today is the beginning of Sale-a-bration and the new January-June Mini Catalog!! Woo hoo!!! Such an exciting day! If you are not familiar with Sale-a-bration, for every $50.00 you spend on Stampin’ Up! products, you get to choose an item for FREE from the Sale-a-bration Catalog! We all love getting FREE stuff! And the stamp and paper I’m using on my take for this week’s sample are an example of the free items you can get! Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a cute card? Well, with it being the start of Sale-a-bration, I just had to use the gorgeous Friendly Hello stamp set and DSP bundle that you can get for free! I followed the measurements from the sketch, but my sentiment label is a bit smaller.
I just love the prints in this pack of paper and with this colorful print I chose, it was hard to choose which color cardstock to go with…but Fresh Freesia won! To emulate the sample, I chose the small flower and leaf image and stamped them on the card base in Fresh Freesia ink. I then added my DSP with Stampin’ Seal adhesive. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink, one of the colors in the paper, on a label die cut with one of the labels from the Hippo & Friends die set. I added the label with dimensionals. I pulled out my Fresh Freesia ribbon and tied a little bow and added it with a Mini Glue Dot. Then to give it some sparkle, I added some of the 2021/2023 In Color Jewels.
For the inside, I stamped the flowers in Fresh Freesia down in the corner and added some of the splatter in Memento to mimic the paper. Then I stamped the sentiment in Shaded Spruce. The inside layer is a scrap of Basic White that measures 3 3/4″ x 5″, the perfect size. I really liked positioning the sentiment within the flowers; it just fit perfectly!
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! Now the flap could be decorated with some more of that gorgeous paper, but I chose to stamp the bird image in Fresh Freesia and the bold sentiment in Shaded Spruce.
I just love how my project turned out! Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the FB Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up a little or a lot; it’s all up to you! That’s the fun part of casing; it’ all up to you. Thank you so much for stopping by this week and I hope I was able to inspire you. Have a great rest of your week!
