Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well and that you are enjoying your Thanksgiving week. If this is your first time here, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news from neck of the woods. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a cute card? As you can see, I only changed mine up a little this week and used all of the same measurements that are listed in the sketch. I just love sketches! It really helps when you are new to the craft or in a hurry, or just don’t want to think!
I just love the Peaceful Place Specialty DSP and thought it was perfect to create a quick and easy card based on this week’s sketch. I chose the cabins for the front layer and the sparkly snowflake piece for the strips. I thought a Pool Party card base was just what I needed to brighten it all up. I attached the strips with Stampin’ Seal adhesive and the cabin layer with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment strip in Basic Gray ink and added it with dimensionals. I added a Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon bow with a Mini Glue Dot and then sprinkled on some of the Holiday Rhinestones in Pool Party.
For the inside, I added a Basic White layer that measured 3 3/4″ x 5″ and a 1″ x 5″ strip of the DSP. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink and then added two of the rhinestones for some extra bling. Just a hint for playing with rhinestones, add an embossed piece of cardstock to protect your beautiful project. 😉
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I used some more of that beautiful paper for the flap!
Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample/sketch and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up. It’s all up to you! That’s the fun part of casing – it’s all up to you! And if you aren’t a member of the group, not a problem; just request to join. We would love to have you come over and play along with us.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful week. Have a great Thanksgiving!
