Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I know I’m really late today, but I was gone for four days at a scrapbook retreat in Gold Beach, Oregon and I’m just playing catch up. I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time here, welcome! Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group today to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that a cute card? Since it is the last week of Sale-a-bration, I chose to use the Beautifully Penned DSP that you can get for free with a $50.00 purchase. This paper is so pretty and goes with the Hand-Penned DSP in the Annual Catalog.

I followed the sketch as far as the layout, but I changed up a few things. For the strip measurements I cut two of them at 1 1/4″ x 3 3/4″ and one at 1 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ and my scallop rectangle from the Scalloped Contour die set measures 3 1/8″ x 4 1/2″. When I saw this week’s sample, I knew I wanted to use the Song of Heart stamp set. This set is special as it is part of the Make a Difference program at Stampin’ Up!. For each of these stamp sets purchased, SU! will donate $3.00 to support heart health. I also needed a wedding card this weekend, so it’s serving double duty!! 🙂

I started by trimming and die cutting my layers. I embossed my 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layer with the Parisian 3D embosing folder. I added the DSP strips to the embossed layer using my Stampin’ Seal and then both to the card front. I then stamped the heart image in Tuxedo Black ink. I then stamped the sentiment from the Forever Blossoms stamp set, also in black. I colored the leaves with the Light Mint Macaron Blends marker (Stampin’ Up!’s version of alcohol makers) and the blossoms with the Fresh Freesia Blends markers. I added the scalloped layer to the card front with dimensionals and then added some of the 2021/2023 In Color Jewels in Fresh Freesia for just a little bit of bling.

For the inside, I die cut another scalloped rectangle and stamped the heart wash in Fresh Freesia ink, stamping off first, and then the sentiment in black. The Forever Blossoms stamp set has such beautiful sentiments for wedding cards.

And for the perfect elegant touch, I embossed the flap of the envelope with the same folder. Elegant and coordinating! lol But seriously, isn’t it pretty?

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on today’s sample and share it with us over at the FB Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up like I did. If you aren’t a member of the group, no worries. Just request to join; we would love to have you play along!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a good rest of your day.
