Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time here, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy happenings around here! Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Each time we have a new catalog release, we as bloggers for the Facebook Group get to choose a sample out of that catalog to case. This one is the one I chose! I thought the sketch of it was a fun one. Here’s my take on the sample using all of the same measurements as the sketch.

I chose the gorgeous Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP. When I chose this piece of DSP, I thought the new Happy Holly-Days Bundle would go perfectly. The pastel colors of this pack of paper are just beautiful, and the foiling is just bonus! This paper will make the best non-traditional colored projects too. I started with a Blushing Bride cardstock card base and added my piece of DSP with some Stampin’ Seal adhesive. Next I trimmed the smaller piece of DSP and a piece of the Silver Foil to the measurements in the sketch. I added some of that pretty Blushing Bride Frayed Grosgrain ribbon by using the cheater method. This has you add adhesive on the edges, then add a strip of ribbon just bigger then the paper and attaching the ribbon in the adhesive. Then you add it to the card base. This method saves you tons of ribbon and allows you to add your faux bow, aka knot, anywhere you need to place it. Next I took a scrap of Basic White cardstock and trimmed it to the measurements and stamped my sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink. I attached this to the foil piece and added it over the ribbon with Mini Dimensionals lined at the top and bottom of the foil. Then I added my faux bow and tucked it right at the edge of the foil layer. To bring in the holly, I used the border punch to punch out the two holly leaves from a scrap of Mossy Meadow cardstock. I added them to the sentiment layer with Mini Glue Dots. For my berries, I colored some rhinestones with the Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends, our version of alcohol markers. I added three for the berries and then sprinkled on some on the card base.

For the inside, I trimmed a scrap of Basic White cardstock to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and stamped the sentiment and the holly in Mossy Meadow ink. I colored the berries with the Light Flirty Flamingo and the leaves with the Light Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends.

And don’t forget your envelope! I repeated the holly on the flap and included the large sentiment.

Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample. You can create it exactly like the sample, or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part of casing, there are no rules. Then share it with us over at the FB Group. If you aren’t a member, no worries; just request to join. We would love to have you come and play along with us.

Thank you so much for stoping by. I hope you have a great rest of your Tuesday and you take the time to get inky!
