Happy Tuesday everyone! What a great day today is!! Not only is it time for another CASE-ing Tuesday, but it is the launch day for the July-December Mini Catalog (yes, I did say July) and it’s also time for Sale-a-bration!! Woo hoo!! What’s Sale-a-bration you ask? It’s Stampin’ Up!’s sale where for every $50.00 or more purchase you make out of either the Annual Catalog or the new Mini Catalog, you get to choose an item for FREE!! And we all love getting something for FREE, right? And the DSP and the stamp set I am using today are two of those items. So have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet today to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that a cute card? It’s using one of the free die sets in the Sale-a-bration Catalog that coordinates with the Shaded Summer stamp set on page 75 of the Annual Catalog. I don’t have either of these items…YET, so I changed it up!

I followed the sketch for all of my measurements, starting with a Basic Gray card base. I then cut a piece of the new Beautifully Penned DSP that is the black and white version of the Hand-Penned DSP. I added it to the card front with dimensionals. Next I cut a scrap of Basic White cardstock to the measurements and stamped my dahlia from the Delicate Dahlias stamp set. I struggled with this at first as it is a two-step stamp. I found it much easier to stamp the inside of the flower first using Polished Pink ink and then the outline in Basic Gray ink. I then stamped the two leaves in Soft Succulent and Basic Gray inks. I then added it to the card front with more dimensionals. for my sentiment, I stamped it first on the tag, added some Stampin Seal adhesive on the back and then added some of the black twine from the Essential Pack. Once the twine was adhered, I added the tag with, you got it, more dimensionals! lol Can you tell I love dimensionals? Then I added some of the Polished Pink In Color Gems for my bling.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray and the smaller flower from the stamp set in Polished Pink, stamped off. I actually stamped the envelope flap first and then the inside layer so I wasn’t wasting any ink.

And here’s a look at my envelope. This image also has an outline stamp that coordinates with it, but I didn’t end up using.

Now it’s your turn, create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the CT Facebook Group. You can create your card exactly like the sample, or change it up a little or a lot; it’s all up to you. That’s the fun part of casing – there are no rules!! And if you aren’t a member of the group, no worries! Just request to join, we would love to have you come and play along with us.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. If you found anything that inspired you today, you can shop my online store here. I hope you have a wonderful day and have a chance to get inky!
