Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time visiting my neck of the woods, be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that an adorable card? That Pansy Petal Suite is gorgeous, but I wanted to use the Expressions in Ink Suite of product this week. I followed the measurements in the sketch for creating my card for everything except the square doily. I love that we have sketches with all the measurements. It really helps when you’re in a hurry or having mojo issues.

I started with a Magenta Madness card base. I die cut a piece of Gold Foil with the large flower image. Note to self, attach a piece of the adhesive sheet to the gold foil prior to die cutting to create a sticker; makes it much easier to adhere to the card base. So, since I didn’t do that, I used some Liquid Glue and it attached just fine. Next I cut a 3/4″ strip of that gorgeous Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP. I cut the strip in two pieces, one at 5″ and the at 5 1/4″ as in the sketch. The third strip I trimmed from a scrap of Basic White and then stamped the sentiment from the set in Evening Evergreen ink. I attached all three strips together with some Stampin’ Seal and then added them to the card front with more Seal. I then stamped the flower in Pale Papaya ink and the leaves in Just Jade ink and die cut them. I added some Seal to the back of the flower and addded the leaves to the back. To bring in more of the gold, I took one of the gold foil die cuts from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera pack and slipped it in betweend the flower and the leaves. I then added it to the card front with some dimensionals and sprinkled on some of the clear sequins from the pack.

For the inside, I trimmed a scrap of Basic White cardstock to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and then stamped the flower in Pale Papaya, stamping off first. I then stamped the center in Magenta Madness, stamping off three times so that it would be light enough to stamp the sentiment over it. I used Evening Evergreen again and stamped one of the sentiments from the Happy Thouhts stamp set.

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I stamped the ink image in Magenta Madness and another sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set in Evening Evergreen. Can you tell I really like the sentiments from that set?  🙂 If this is one you like, don’t wait to puchase it as it is on the Last Chance retirement list.

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the FB Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up a little or a lot; it’s all up to you. That’s the fun part of casing! If you aren’t a member of the group – not a problem! Just request to join. We would love to have you come and play along with us!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope have a great rest of your. And don’t forget to get inky!!
