Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday and happy June!! It’s hard to believe that June is here! So have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a cute card? Look closely at the labels the birds are on…there are actually two different die cuts. I thought that was such a cute idea, so I had to try it.
I actually used all scraps for today’s project and followed all the measurements from the sketch. Woo hoo!! I started with a Night of Niavy card base. I tookout my Hippo & Friends die set and cut out the two largest shapes in a scrap of Basic White cardstock. On the top label I stamped the flower from the In Symmetry stamp set in Daffodil Delight and then the stem and leaves in Just Jade inks. I attached the two together using my Stampin’ Seal adhesive and then both to the piece of DSP. Next I grabbed some of the twine from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack and added some to the DSP and then glued it all down to the card front. I die cut the small label, also from the Hippo & Friends die set, in Daffodil Delight and stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink. I added it tot he card front with dimensionals and then my bow in the twine is attached with a Mini Glue Dot. And of course, I had to add my rhinestones!
Then for the inside, I cut a scrap of Basic White cardstock to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and stamped the flower again in Daffodil Delight, stamped off. Then I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink. I just love this two-step stamping for sentiments!
And then don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I used some more of that gorgeous DSP on the flap. I think this is the perfect way to coordinate the entire project…and use up that paper!!
Isn’t that cute?!? Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the FB Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up a little or a lot, it’s all up to you! That’s the fun part of casing – there are no rules! And if you’re not a member of the group yet, not a problem. Just request to join; we would love to have you play along with us!!
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great start to this new month!
