Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a good start! If this is your first time here, please feel free to join my email list to keep up on the scrappy news in my neck of the woods. So, have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a cute card? As you can see, I changed mine up quite a bit this week.
I followed the basic layout of the sketch, but since I chose to use the Happy Thoughts stamp set, I eliminated the circle for the sentiment. My card base and first layer are the same as in the sketch, but my other two layers measure 2 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ for the Basic White layer and the Seaside Spray layer measures 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ as it just looked more balance for my card. I actually used all scraps except for the piece of the Well Suited DSP, so that worked out great for my scraps bin….a little bit anyway. lol I have to say that this piece of DSP is my favorite from the pack! My Seaside Spray layer is embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing folder which gives the card some great contrasting texture with the flower paper. I stamped my sentiment in Night of Navy ink and attached it the embossed layer with Stampin’ Seal and then to the card front with dimensionals. I originally started with a 4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed layer, but when I decided to use the DSP, I had plenty left over to punch out the flowers with the Small Bloom punch. I sure am going to miss that little punch when it retires! I added the bottom two of flowers with Mini Glue Dots making sure to leave some space between them to add the third flower with a dimensional and added some of the Holiday Rhinestones fro my bling. I then grabbed a piece of the Well Suited Twine in Night of Navy for my bow and attached it with a Mini Glue Dot.
For the inside, I cut a strip of the DSP to 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ and attached it at the bottom of the card and stamped my sentiment from the same stamp set in Night of Navy ink.
And don’t forget your envelope! Of course I had to decorate it with that beautiful paper!!
For those that know me, know that I am a blue girl so I am in LOVE with this paper!!! 🙂 Don’t you think it’s a cute card??? Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the FB Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part of casing (copy and share everything), it’s all up to you! And if you aren’t a member of the group yet, not a problem! Just request to join – we would love to have you come and play along with us.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great rest of your day!
