Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a great start! If this is your first time here, welcome and be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet today to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
As you can see by my take, I’ve changed it up quite a bit. 🙂
I followed the measurements for everything except the sentiment strip. For my sentiment I used the smallest die from the Hippo & Friends die set. And I was able to use scraps for everything on today’s card! Woo hoo!! Love it when I can do that!! lol Since I decided to use that gorgeous Berry Delightful DSP, I went with the Pacific Point card base. I stamped the leaves and blueberry images in Pacific Point on opposite corners like in this week’s sample, but I made it a portrait style card instead. I cut my DSP and Basic White scraps to size and glued the DSP to the card base. Next I stamped the leaves in the opposite corners of the card base in Just Jade ink. I stamped the inside of the leaves in stamped off Just Jade and then added the blueberries in the same steps in Pacific Point ink and then glued it to the card base. For my sentiment layer, it was too washed out with just the sentiment stamped in Pacific Point, so I used my Blending Brush and added some Just Jade ink. Those Blending Brushes are my new favorite toy!!! I added it to the card front with dimensionals and then added a bow at the bottom with a Mini Glue Dot. The twine is from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack. Love all the colors in that pack! Even though the blue is actually Misty Moonlight in the twine, it goes perfectly. Next I added some rhinestones for my bling.
For the inside, I had a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White leftover from a class, so I repeated the leaves and blueberry images on the lower corner and blended on some more of the Just Jade ink. I left the sentiment off for later.
And I used that adorable DSP for my envelope.
Doesn’t it just make the project? Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the CT FB Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part of casing – it’s all up to you! And if you aren’t a member of the group yet, not a problem! Just request to join; we would love to have you come and play along!!
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!
