Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time stopping by, be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that a cute card? And what do you think about the sketch? I think it really helps when you are creating. For my take this week, I followed the measurements in the sketch, but  I decided to use some of that adorable Berry Delightful DSP from the Sale-a-bration Catalog since it’s only going to be availabe until the end of the month.

I even used all scraps to create my card! I love it when I can do that, really helps with the stash…well, in my head anyways.  🙂  I started with my piece of DSP that I trimmed to the measurements in the sketch, along with my piece of Vellum Cardstock. Next I cut my two circles out, one in Blushing Bride cardstock and the other in Basic White. Next I found a Just Jade card base in my stash and stamped the leaves image in Just Jade ink. I attached the DSP to the card base with Stampin’ Seal adhesive and then added just a little bit of the Seal on the back of my Vellum and attached it to the DSP. Since I was going to add the circles over the area that I added adhesive on the vellum, I didn’t have to worry about it showing through. Nex I inked my sentiment in Poppy Parade, and stamped off so it was a lighter shade like the DSP and then stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the circle. Next I stamped the leaves just to the left of the sentiment. I used my Wink of Stella to watercolor the leaves and give them some bling. I glued the two circles together and added them to the card base with dimensionals. I had a piece of the Blushing Bride Baker’s Twine from the Snail Mail combo pack and tied it in a double bow and added it to the card front with a Mini Glue Dot. I wanted to add some kind of die cut like in the sample, so to keep it small, I stamped the little flower image from the stamp set in Poppy Parade ink, stamping off first, and punched it out with the Small Blooms Punch. I added it to the circles with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional. For some added bling I added some rhinestones.

For the inside, I cut a scrap of Basic White cardstock to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and stamped the leaves on opposite corners, stamping off first. I then stamped the sentiment in Poppy Parade ink, stamping off first to keep it all cohesive to the DSP.

Don’t forget to decorate you envelope! I stamped the leaves image again, this time in first generation ink. I love coordinating my envelope with my card!

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample, or chang it up a little or a lot; it’s all up to you! That’s what is so much fun about casing (copy and share everything), you get to do it your way!! And if you aren’t a member of the group, not to worry! Just request to join! We would love to have you come and play along with us.
