Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! And it’s the last one for 2020! For such a crazy year, it sure did fly by! If this is your first time here, welcome and please be sure to join my email list while you’re here so that you can keep up on all the scrappy news in my neck of the world. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a fun card? And the sketch just makes it so much easier to create!
As you see with my card, I followed the sketch for all of my measurements. And the best part is this card was created from all scraps! Woo hoo!! Love using up those scraps! I knew I wanted to use those adorable Zany Zebras again, so I started with a Magenta Madness card base and a scrap of the Plaid Tidings DSP. I am so going to miss that paper!! There are just so many cute colors in the pack! The black and white goes perfectly with the zebras, don’t you think? I glued the strip down on the card base with my Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I found a long scrap of Whisper White cardstock and cut the three pieces to the measurements in the sketch. I stamped two of the zebras and then the sentiment on the blocks in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I added more adhesive to the back of the sentiment block and then added a strip of the Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon like in the sample and added it to the card front with dimensionals. Next I added the other two bloces, also with dimensionals and then added some of the Rhinestone Basic Jewels for bling. Easy Peasy!!
For the inside, I found a piece of Whisper White that measures 3 3/4″ x 5″ and stamped the sentiments, also in Tuxedo Black ink. To bring in the front of the card, I added a 1/2″ x 5″ piece of the DSP to the side and then glued it into the side of the card.
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I added adhesive to the flap on the envelope, added another leftover piece of the DSP and trimmed it to fit. I love the way it coordinates to the card! And, you get to use up those scraps!
So what do you think? I really do love how it turned out! And we always need those birthday cards! Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the FB Group. You can create your card exactly like the sample, or change it up a little or a lot, it’s all up to you. That’s the fun part of casing – there are no rules! And if you aren’t a member of our group yet, not a problem, just request to join! We would love to have you come over and play along with us.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful last few days of 2020 and be sure to come back next week as we start casing the upcoming Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog! Happy New Year!!
