Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! If this is your first time here, welcome and be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy fun going on in my neck of the woods. Have you been over to CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything) this week? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

I love that we have sketches now, as it can really help when you’re creating. For my card, I followed the sketch except for turning my card into a portrait style card.

I just received the new Snowflake Wishes Bundle, which they used in the sample, so I just had to use it. If you know me, you know that blue is my favorite color, so I fell in love with this Designer Series Paper, which also happens to be a part of the DSP Sale that is going on right now. I started by choosing my piece of DSP and decided on a Night of Navy card base. Then I saw the sentiment I used on the card front and instantly fell in love with it! Who doesn’t love sparkle?!? I trimmed my DSP to the measurements in the sketch and then added some Stampin’ Seal on each side of the back of the paper and attached a piece of the Snowflake Splendor Ribbon. That ribbon is just gorgeous with the sparkly sheen to it! I then added a bit more adhesive and attached it to the card front. So since I was creating a “sparkly” card, I chose a scrap of the Shimmery White Paper for the sentiment tag and cut it with one of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. I then stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink. I then cut the three snowflakes in that gorgeous Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper. Talk about sparkle!! I added the large one with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional just to the left of where I would adding the label. I added some regular dimensionals to the back of the label and added it right over the ribbon and the large snowflake. I added the other two snowflakes by rolling up a Mini Glue Dot for a little bit of depth, and attached them to the card front. Now, one would think that you had plenty of sparkle with the glimmer paper for a project….not me!! lol I pulled out a pack of the Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes and added them to tall of the snowflakes on the DSP and even the label. I might of gone a little overboard, said no one ever!! lol It really sparkles when you move the card around.  🙂

I chose a 4″ x 5 1/4″ scrap of Whisper White for the inside. I stamped the largest snowflake image in Balmy Blue, stamping off first and then stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy.

I just love that two-step stamp process for the inside of the card! It really ties everything together. And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I added adhesive to the flap of my envelope, attached it to a strip of the DSP and then trimmed the excess off.

Isn’t that pretty on the white envelope? I think it really makes for a nice set. Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the FB Group. You can create the card just like the sample, or change it up a little or a lot – it’s all up to you! That’ the fun part of casing!! If you aren’t a member of the group, not a problem; just request to join. We would love to have you come over and play along with us!
