Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday!! I can’t believe it’s the last one of September! Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see this week’s sample? If not, here’s a look at what we’re casing (copy and share everything) and the sketch:

I love that we have sketches to help with creating each week. It especially comes in handy when you’re in a hurry or are just having a tough day and want some “mindless” crafting. I followed the measurements from the sketch for all but the sentiment strip. Because my sentiment was so short, I trimmed it down to 1/4″ x 2 3/4″.

When I saw this week’s sample, I knew I just had to use the Merry Moose and the coordinating punch. He was actually from last year’s catalog, but was so popular, he sold out early. Isn’t he adorable? And the best part of this card is that ever piece of it is from scraps!!! Even the Braided Trim is a scrap! Woo hoo!!

I started by trimming my piece of Plaid Tidings to the measurements in the sketch and then added it my Crumb Cake card base with dimensionals. I trimmed a scrap of Cherry Cobbler cardstock to the measurements and added some adhesive on each side to that I could wrap my piece of Braided Trim to secure it and then added it to the card front with dimensionals. Next I stamped my moose on a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock in Crumb Cake ink and punched him out with the punch. I found a scrap of Whisper White and stamped both the trees and the scarf in Shaded Spruce ink and then fussy cut each one out. I added dimensionals to the back of the trees and then added them to the Cherry Cobbler layer with dimensionals. I added the scarf to the moose with a Mini Glue Dot and then added him to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped my sentiment in Crumb Cake ink on a strip of Whisper White, trimmed the edges with my snips and then added a strip of Stampin’ Seal to glue it to the trim. That’s the nice thing about our new adhesive, it really helps adhere things that wouldn’t have held with Snail adhesive. I tied a bow in what was left of the trim and then added it to the corner of the layer with a Mini Glue Dot. And don’t forget the Holiday Rhinestones!! I love how well they go with EVERYTHING!

For the inside, I found a scrap of Whisper White cardstock that measures 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ and added a strip of the DSP to the edge that measures 3/4″ x 3 1/4″. I stamped the two sentiments from the stamp set in Crumb Cake ink and then glued it to the inside of the card.

I just love that pattern of plaid!! The colors are just so Christmasy!! And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I stamped the little racoon image holding the ornament in Crumb Cake ink.

I think he is just too stinking cute!!! And it all works with the inside sentiment too. Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create your card exactly as the sample, or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part of casing – it’s all up to you! And don’t worry if you aren’t a member of the group yet. Just request to join! We would love to have you come and play along with us!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great rest of your week!
