Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I know, I’m a little late for CASE-ing Tuesday, but I’ve been a little busy. We had my 6-year old grandson this week and that itself is a full-time job!! I was able to create my project, just didn’t have a chance to show it off. By now you’ve probably seen this week’s sample that we’re casing (copy and share everything) over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group, but if not, here’s what we’re casing:
Isn’t it nice that we have sketches with all the measurements? It really helps when you are trying to create in a hurry, like when you have a 6-year old running around!! lol I followed the measurements for everything, except I didn’t use a sentiment tag. My piece of DSP, which is from the Playing with Patterns pack, is cut at 3 7/8″ x 3 7/8″ and glued to a 8″ x 4″ piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock. I wanted to use this sentiment from the Ridiculously Awesome stamp set for awhile and thought this was the perfect time. I cut out a Night of Navy scalloped circle and used the largest stitched circle to cut out a piece of Whisper White. I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink on the circle and glued them together. I added them to the card front with dimensional. I knew it needed something in lieu of the sentiment label like in the sample, so I punched out a Purple Posy and Misty Moonlight flower with the Small Bloom punch. I used the top of the lid on my Take Your Pick Tool and pressed down on the centers of both flowers to give them dimension. I glued them together with a Mini Glued Dot and added them to the circle with another Mini Glue Dot. To finish it off, I added a rhinestone from the Holiday Rhinestone pack.
For the inside, I stamped the sentiment first generation ink in Night of Navy and the heart, second generation, meaning I stamped off before stamping it and then called it done.
Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it as is or change it up a little or a lot, it’s all up to you! That’s what is so fun about casing, it’s however you feel like creating it. If you’re not a member of the FB Group yet, not to worry. Just request to join, we’d love to have you play along with us!
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great rest of your week!
