Don’t you just love that card??? I love all the colors of it and that stamp set is a really fun one. Since I just used that one a couple of weeks ago, I decided to use the Forever Fern stamp set, definitely another favorite. I followed all of the measurements in the sketch, except for the inside label. My sentiment was so big I needed to cut it at 3/4″ x 3 1/2″, otherwise my measurements are the same.
I chose Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Pool Party for my leaf colors and Magenta Madness for the splatter marks. I used the Coastal Cabana for the largest leaves, the Pool Party for the medium leaves and Bermuda Bay for the rounded leaves. I love these colors together and the Magenta Madness just pops. Next I cut a strip of the Magenta Madness and stamped the sentiment in Versa Mark and then heat embossed it in White Embossing Powder. I then punched the ends with the Lovely Label Pick a Punch. This punch is so versatile! I think it’s going to be around for a long time. I then punched the ends of the Bermuda Bay strip and glued the two together with some of the new Stampin’ Seal. This new adhesive is wonderful!! If you are an ATG fan and have issues with your hands and the size of the “gun”, then you’re really going to like this new adhesive! The case that holds the adhesive cartridge is ergonomically correct and so easy to hold. After everything was stamped, I wrapped around a piece of the new Pool Party Sheer ribbon on the stamped piece and tied it in a bow. I glued it down to the card front of a Thick Whisper White card base. I made sure not to get adhesive on the ribbon so that if I needed to adjust it, I could still move it around. I added some dimensionals to the edge of the tag and added it to the card front. To finish it off, I added some of the Holiday Rhinestones in Pool Party. I really like how it turned out, how about you?
For the inside, I cut another piece of Whisper White cardstock to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and just stamped the corner with the splatter marks and a little bit of the round leaves and glued it to the inside. I think adding the extra piece of Whisper White really gives the the card a more finished look.
