Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I am so happy you are stopping by and if this is your first time here, be sure to join my email list for all the scrappy news in my corner of the world. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s the sample and the sketch for the week:

I love that we have a sketch to go along with the sample, especially with cards that multiple layers. It really helps the creating process go so much more smoothly. For my take on this week’s sample I followed the measurements in the sketch, just a different die for the larger panel.

My card base is in Gorgeous Grape cardstock and and my two strips are in Coastal Cabana. I glued the strips down with the new Stampin’ Seal adhesive and then stamped the large flower from the Ornate Style stamp set twice in Versa Mark ink over the entire card base. I really liked the way it looked with the entire images over both colors of cardstock. I am definitely going to revisit that technique without the front panel on another project. Next I cut my scalloped stitched layer in Blushing Bride cardstock and stamped the same image in Versa Mark. I wanted the image to pop more, so I heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder, which looks really good in person. Even with the other layers on top, the clear embossed image shines. For my three strips, I stamped the other images from the Ornate Style stamp set in each of the cardstock colors. I did stamp off the daisy though as my ink pad was really juicy and made the image too bold. I added them with dimensionals and then grabbed a scrap of Purple Posy cardstock for the sentiment. The sentiment is from the Many Mates stamp set and is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink. I added it to the panel with more of the Stampin’ Seal and then added a bow in the pretty Tricolor Ribbon that has Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Purple Posy colors in it. I adhered it to the card base with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional because the Mini Glue Dot just didn’t give it the height that it needed. Next I added three of the Rhinestone Basic Jewels and called the front done.

For the inside I found a left over piece of Whisper White that measured 3 3/4″ x 5″ and I stamped the large flower image again in Coastal Cabana ink, stamping off first. Then I added another sentiment from the Many Mates stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink and glued it to the inside.

I just love the way that looks! And the sentiments from the Many Mates stamp set are in the cutest fonts!! I like how they are for both the inside and outside of the card. And let us not forget the envelope!

That Gorgeous Grape ink on the Whisper White envelope is stunning in person! Remember – no naked envelopes!!! 🙂

Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create the card exactly like the sample or change it up a little or a lot; it’s all up to you! If you’re not a member of the group yet, that’s okay, just request to join. We would love to have you come over and play along with us! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!
