Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! If this is your first time here, be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news in my neck of the woods. Have you been over to the CASE-in Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch for this week.

Isn’t that a cute card? It’s our first case out of the new 2020/2021 Annual Catalog. And I love that we have sketches now! It really helps cut down on your crafting time! For my take on this week’s sample, I followed the measurements from the sketch exactly. And if you have been to my blog before, you can tell that my favorite color combo is yellow and blue….as I’m using it again! lol

I don’t know what it is about yellow and blue that just calls to me…but when I saw the sample, I knew exactly what I was going to use for my take! My card base is in Daffodil Delight cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. I started by stamping the small flower bulbs in Daffodil Delight ink. Next I cut a piece of the Flowers For Every Season DSP to 2″ x 5 1/4″ and then I flagged the ends using the Tailored Tag Punch. Next I found a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and trimmed it to the measurements of 3″ x 4 1/4″. I stamped my stems in Garden Green ink stamping the three main stems in first generation and the others in second generation ink, meaning, I stamped one, then without reinking the stamp, I stamped it again. Next I took the little flower from the stamp set and stamped the top three flowers in Seaside Spray ink, then two of the flowers in Flirty Flamingo ink, stamping off first, and then the last three in Daffodil Delight ink, stamping off again. Then I pulled out my little ink spot of Misty Moonlight from my Paper Pumpkin kit and stamped the sentiment. I then glued this layer to the flagged DSP and then both to the card front with dimensionals. Next I wanted to add a butterfly in vellum, but plain vellum just didn’t look right. I colored the back side with my Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Marker and punched it out with the Butterfly Duet Punch. I love how it looks! I added it to the card with a Mini Glue Dot and then added two rhinestones to it, not only for bling, but to hide the Mini Glue Dot. I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers and called it done!

I love how cheery that little butterfly is!!! For the inside I found a scrap of Whisper White cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ which I stamped another one of the leaves and a few of the flowers, stamping off on all. I just wanted to bring the outside to the inside of the card. The sentiment is also stamped in Misty Moonlight.

This stamp set is such a fun set to play with! It also a coordinating punch called the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. I didn’t use it for this one, but it is a very versatile punch and when you purchase them together as a bundle, you save 10%!

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on today’s and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create the card exactly as is, or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part of casing – it’s all up to you! If you’re not a member of the Facebook Group, that’s okay, just request to join. We would love to have you play along with us each week!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a terrific Tuesday!!
