Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! If this is your first time stopping by, welcome and be sure to join my email list for all the scrappy news around here! Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet to see the sample we’re casing this week? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a cute card? And now that we have sketches with measurements it makes casing (copy and share everything) so much easier!! I followed the sketch, but I added a layer on my card base and my sentiment tag is a little bigger.
Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Blueberry Bushel cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and 3 1/4″ x 4 5/8″
- 2018/2020 In Color DSP cut at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 5/8″ and 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ for the inside
- Pineapple Punch cardstock cut at 3/4″ x 2 1/2″, flagged
Seeing today’s sample I immediately thought about the Daisy Punch and my favorite color combo, Blueberry Bushel and Pineapple Punch. Both colors, including the Call Me Clover ink that I used are part of the 2018/2020 In Colors that will be going away at the end of the month.
After I trimmed all the layers, I glued my DSP to the card front. Next I stamped my stems in Call Me Clove ink and then stamped two sets of daisies in Pineapple Punch and punched them out with the coordinating punches. I stamped one daisy and then repeated the image without inking in between so that when I layered the two together, you get more depth in the images. After I punched out the four daisies, I glued them together with Mini Glue Dots, added dimensionals on the back and attached them to the card. I just had to add some Wink of Stella to the centers for bling. I then glued the Blueberry Bushel layer to the Whisper White layer at an angle, then both to the card front. Next I took a a scrap of Pineapple Punch and stamped the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink, then flagged the ends. I added several Mini Glue Dots to the back and then added my small piece of Blueberry Bushel Grosgrain Ribbon. I then attached this to the card front with dimensionals and added some of the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots in Blueberry Bushel.
For the inside, I stamped the small daisy in Pineapple Punch ink, stamping off first, then the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink right on top of the daisy. The sentiment is a little crooked, buy hey, it’s homemade, right? 🙂 As you may know, this is one of my favorite ways to stamp my inside layers. Once they were stamped, I glued the layer down and I was finished with the card!
