Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I am so happy you are here and if this is your first time, be sure to join my email list for all the scrappy news around here. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group today to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that card gorgeous? I just love that stamp set and the sample! The fun part of casing is you can create this any way you like it, which is exactly what I did! I followed the measurements in the sketch, which makes creating even easier!
The best part of my card is that I used scraps for all of it but the DSP! I went with a Pool Party card base to coordinate with the Pool Party flowers in the DSP. I trimmed my piece of DSP to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and glued it to the card base. I then had a scrap of Vellum cardstock that I cut to the measurements and glued that down. Then I took my piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the image in Crumb Cake ink and glued it to the card front at an angle like the sample. Next I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink on a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock and then punched it out with the Label Me Fancy punch. I added it to the card front with dimensionals. I found a little bow of Whisper White Baker’s Twine and added to the label with a Mini Glue Dot. I grabbed some of my Holiday Rhinestones in Pool Party and added them to the flower centers. I love how they just make those flowers pop!
For the inside I stamped the sentiment and the leaves in Crumb Cake ink on a piece of Whisper White that mat measures at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″. The sentiment is actually one long line that wouldn’t fit on the layer, so I masked part of it, stamped, and then repeated that to make it two lines. I also stamped off on the leaves so that it was lighter and just an accent to bring the outside of the card to the inside.
Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. Remember, you can create it just the way you want to; change it up a little or a lot, it’s all up to you! If you’re not a member of the FB Group yet, that’s okay! Just request to join, we would love to have you come and play with us.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a terrific Tuesday!!
