Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I am so glad you stopped by and if this is your first time here, please be sure to join my email list for all the scrappy news around here! Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

I love that we have sketches now too. It really helps when you’re in a hurry to craft (not so much now a days, huh?) or you are brand new to the craft. If you’re new to crafting, case is the acronym for “copy and share everything”. Here’s a look at my take on this week’s sample:

As you can see, I turned mine from a portrait style card to a landscape style. My measurements are the same as in the sample, except I trimmed it a little so that the word didn’t get overwhelmed by all the white space.

I decided to use the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle this week as I thought it needed a little love for a change. I stamped my magnolia image in Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with my Stampin’ Blends Markers. I used the Mossy Meadow Combo on the leaves, the Petal Pink Combo on the petals, the Soft Suede Combo on the stem and the Dark So Saffron on the center of the flower. These Stampin’ Blends are our line of alcohol markers and they come in a light and dark shade of most of the Stampin’ Up! color families. After I colored it, I cut it out with the coordinating die. Next I cut my papers to size and embossed the 3 1/2″ x 5″ layer with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. I distressed the edges using a retired distressing tool, but you could use an old pair of scissors. Once I had the edges distressed, I took a Stampin’ Sponge and sponged the edges and a little over the front of that layer. I then added a piece of the Petal Pink Metallic Edged Ribbon and tied it in a knot. I added the flower image to that with some of the Black Dimensionals and then glued it to the card front. Next I stamped the sentiment in Merry Merlot ink on the strip of Whisper White and added it to the card front.

For the inside I had a leftover piece of Whisper White that measured 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ so I stamped the small magnolia bud in Petal Pink ink, stamping off first, and the sentiment in Merry Merlot ink over it. I really like stamping sentiments like that, it just makes it so unique.

I love how this card turned out, how about you? Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and then share it with us over at the Facebook Group. The fun part of casing is it really is all up to your interpretation. You can create it just like exactly like the sample, change it up a little or a lot, it’s all up to you! If you aren’t a member of the Facebook Group yet, that’s okay, just request to join. We would love to have you join and play along!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a fantastic Tuesday and get to do something fun!
