Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope this finds you well and taking care of yourself and what better way to do that then to craft? If this is your first time here, welcome and be sure to join my email list for all the scrappy news going on in my neck of the woods! Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet today? If you haven’t, here’s a look at this week’s sample and sketch:

Isn’t that a cute card? I absolutely love that Best Dressed DSP, but since I’ve used it quite a bit lately, I thought I’d used something else, like that beautiful new So Very Vellum that you can get for free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration.

I went for a monochromatic look this week.  🙂  All the measurements are the same as in the sketch since I used the same dies, the new Stitched So Sweetly Die set. If you don’t have this yet, you definitely want to add it to your arsenal! Unlike some of the other stitched dies, when you cut a piece of cardstock, it just drops right out of the die!

My card base is in Purple Posy and I added a piece of the vellum, which is also in Purple Posy. I tied a piece of the Whisper White Polka Dot Ribbon to it and tied a knot to the very left. I attached this to the card base with Mini Glue Dots. When you are attaching vellum to something, you have to be careful where you add your adhesive as it will show through. Since in knew I would be have additional layers on top, I placed my glue dots right around the ribbon. Next I cut out the the largest scalloped rectangle from the set in Whisper White. Keeping with the whole polka dot theme, I took the confetti stamps from the So Sentimental stamp set and colored them with the Purple Posy Stampin’ Write Marker and then stamped randomly around the layer. When you use one of our Stampin’ Write Markers to stamp with, you use the brush end and color the stamp, then huff on it to give the ink some moisture and then stamp. You have to do that each time you stamp too, so it can take a little while if you’re making a background like I did. I then added it to the card front with dimensionals. Next I cut out the label with the die in Purple Posy and stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink. I added two of the Glitter Enamel Dots in Gorgeous Grape and then added it to the card front with more dimensionals.

For the inside, I had a scrap of Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ and stamped the little confetti piece again using the marker and then the sentiment, also from the same stamp set, in Gorgeous Grape ink.

I am really starting to love the color purple!! lol I’ve always gravitated to blue, but now that seems to be shifting. Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over on the Facebook Group. Here’s the fun part about casing (copy and share everything); you can make the card exactly as the sample or change it up. You can change it up a little or a lot – it’s all up to you! And if you’re not a member of the group yet, that’s okay, just request to join. We would love to have come over and play along with us!

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a great Tuesday and be sure to come back tomorrow for my Facebook Live project. Take care!
