Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! If this is your first time here, I am so happy you stopped by and be sure to join my email list so you don’t miss out on any of the scrappy news around in my neck of the woods. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see the sample and sketch we’re casing? If not, here’s a look:

Isn’t it a cute card? But for some reason I really struggled this week with my creation. I think I must have gone through at least 3 or 4 other projects using different stamp and die sets and nothing rang my bell. Have you had those days? Of course, I did have quite a few interruptions, and that may have been part of my issue. So I finally just put my foot down and told myself this next one was going to be “it” regardless! lol Ever have those days? Yes, it was a Monday yesterday and it really impacted my mojo!

My measurements for the card, using a Pool Party card base, are actually 4 1/4″ x 11″, but by turning it on it’s side to become a landscape, it fits the measurements of the sketch. The DSP and the sentiment layer are also the same measurements as the sketch.

I started by stamping the poppy in Pool Party ink from the Painted Poppies stamp set and I just stamped them on a diagonal. Next I cut out two of the poppies, also in Pool Party cardstock, from the Peaceful Moments Bundle and glued them to the card base. I wanted them to pop a little more, so I cut out the centers in Basic Black and glued them on and added some Wink of Stella. I cut a piece of the Peaceful Poppies DSP and added it to the card front with dimensionals. I cut a scrap of Whisper White cardstock to 1″ x 3 1/2″ and stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink. I flagged the end with my Paper Snips and added it to the DSP with more dimensionals. Then I added a few of the Holiday Rhinestones in Pool Party and voila! I finally made my project!! lol I don’t know why I struggled so with this week’s sample, but I got through it. I’m too stubborn not to!

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on today’s sample and share it with us over at the FB Group. You can create the card as is, or change it up a little or a lot; it’s all up to you! And if you’re not a member of the group yet, that’s okay, just request to join. We would love to have you play along with us each week.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic Tuesday!
