Welcome to the final CASE-ing Tuesday of the year and the decade!! So unbelievable that we’re heading into the 3rd decade of the century! If this is your first time visiting my little section of the web, welcome and be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news from my world. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet today to see what we’re casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that a cute card? I love that we have sketches now too, it just makes creating so much easier! That way you have all the measurements to base your creation on and then add your own personal style to it. For my card today I followed the measurements in the sketch exactly. I knew that I wanted to use the Everything Festive stamp set at some point for the New Year’s sentiment and this was the perfect time to do just that! What’s even better is I got to use all scraps from my stash! Woo hoo!!

I started with a Basic Black card base from another project and cut down a strip of Gold Foil to fit across the card like the sample. Next I cut out my stitched label from the Stitched Nested Label die set and then brushed it with the Embossing Buddy since I was going to heat emboss on it. By doing that you eliminate static cling on the cardstock so you won’t get those little specs of embossing powder around your image. I then stamped my sentiment in VersaMark ink and sprinkled on some Gold Embossing Powder and then hit it with my Heat Tool. I love heat embossing even after all these years. It’s just so magical to see the powder melt! I then punched out some Gold Glitter sprigs with the Sprig Punch and added them to the back of the label with Mini Glue Dots. I then added the label to the card front with dimensionals. For my bling I still had some of those gorgeous Glitter Enamel Dots form the Christmastime is Here Suite of products. I love those glitter dots!!! And they go perfectly with all the gold on my card!

Now it’s your turn! Create your take on today’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. The fun part is you can create it with your style! You can change it up a little or a lot, or simply create it as is; it’s all up to you! And if you’re not a member of the group yet, that’s okay, just request to join! We would love to have you come and play along with us!!

I want to wish you all a very healthy and happy New Year as we enter this next year and decade. Thank you so much for stopping by my little neck of the woods, I greatly appreciate it. Take care and I’ll see you next year!  😉
