Happy Wednesday! Yes, I am a day late for our CASE-ing Tuesday, but I just got back late last night from Las Vegas. Not only did I get a chance to go to Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage event, but got to visit family and have an early Thanksgiving. So it was a win-win! I am sure that by now you were able to see what we are casing this week, but just in case you missed it, here is the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a cute card? I followed the measurements for everything except my sentiment tag and it measures 1/2″ x 2 1/2″. The sentiment I chose is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set was too long for the 2″ length in the sample. I knew I wanted to use the Frosted Foliage Bundle this week, so I went with the Seaside Spray cardstock and the piece of DSP from the Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP. LOVE that DSP!!! After I cut my pieces to fit, I glued down the DSP. I then cut out the Stitched Nested Label and stamped the snowflakes from the Frosted Foliage stamp set in Seaside Spray ink. I turned it over and added several strips of Tear and Tape to the back for the Seaside Spray Metallic ribbon. Then I just layered the ribbon over the adhesive and pressed it down. I then added some dimensionals and adhered it to the card. I stamped my sentiment in Night of Navy and added one of the sprigs that I cut out of Silver Glimmer Paper. Mini Glue Dots work best for gluing cardstock to glimmer paper, which is exactly what I used here. I added dimensionals to the back and glued it to the front of the card. Then I added some of the silver Metallic Pearls to the snowflake label. I love the look of the Seaside Spray and Silver colors together!
For the inside I layered a leftover piece of the DSP to the 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Whisper White, stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy and glued it down. There was one more glimmer sprig left, so I added it to the inside for some extra bling. Nothing goes to waste!
Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. The fun part of casing (copy and share everything) is that you get to create it your way. Change it up a little or a lot, it’s all up to you! If you aren’t a member of the FB group yet, not to worry! Just ask to join and we’ll add you to the group. We would love to have you come over and play along with us!
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great afternoon!
